Setting
Standards for 3 Phase Converters Manufactured and Sold
in the U.S.
The U.S. Phase Converter Standards Organization is dedicated to serving U.S.
industrial and non-industrial consumers to encourage the
manufacture of 1 phase to 3 phase converters which
produce quality balanced 3 phase power that will: A) be
safe for the equipment (not damage 3 phase
machines or machinery), B) ensure the safety of the
operators and, C) have a long usability life.
Quality phase converters will meet these basic
standards and will be listed with the U.S. Phase
Converter Standards Organization Seal of Approval.
Simply put, our purpose is two-fold; 1) To educate
the public about the benefits and realities of different types of
phase converters, 2) To help encourage manufactures to
produce properly built high quality 1 phase to 3 phase
converters.

Investigating and setting the rating standards for different phase converter types and
product quality allows for a clear comparison of these
products. Many veteran 3 phase
specialists have both tested various 3 phase converters
in the lab, and researched industry experiences with
these same technologies in the field, to give an accurate
rating of the technology used in the phase
converter. These ratings are published here to
educate and share knowledge comparing various 3 phase
converter types and technologies. Each
product will have a rating from 1 to 5 on each of the
above 4 categories. Veteran electrical
researchers not only tested static and rotary phase
converter models, but they also tested several the other
digital, VFD inverter and CNC Phase Converter
models. We also put to the test a variety of plans
for "how to build your own phase converter",
and a variety of kits. Read below in further detail about
our phase converter research.

with a 3 phase converter they would like to share should
contact
us here. Tell us about your experience with a particular
3 phase converter brand, model or technology. This
is an open invitation to individuals or industry
companies to share and have different 3 phase converter
experiences documented and published here. Some
of the documented 3 phase converter experiences will be published
as space and time permit. We are open to differing
opinions and experiences that are properly detailed. If you would
like to review a specific phase converter manufacturers
brand - be sure to document all the details of the model,
installation and application. Tell us your
thoughts and let us know how we can help educate others
about 3 phase converters, controllers and technology. Please spread the word
and help get the truth out - add a link to the U.S.
